The storm before the calm!

I left for San Diego on Monday to attend a sales meeting! The meeting was pretty tough, learning how to sell our product a different way. Learning how to stand up in front of all of the big dogs and give presentations (and being slaughtered in the end). There is nothing worse then standing in front of your colleagues and CEO's and presenting a product that they probably know better than me. But, it was a great time. I learned a lot and I am glad I survived. We even got to attend the Dodgers vs. Padres game. Petco park is amazing and I could see it from my hotel window.

I decided as soon as I found out that our meetings were in San Diego that I was not going to waste the trip just for work. So a text flew over to Breezy and I asked her to join me, she said YES in about 1 minute flat. It was so great to see her and spend good girl time together. She has to be one of the easiest people to travel with, I learned that in Paris though. We just spent a day and a half exploring the city.
We found a yacht that we told her dad he was going to purchase for us. The yachts there were unreal, I couldn't believe how nice they were. Breezy was jealous that the sliding glass doors on the boats were nicer than the ones at her new house- well for however much it costs to have a yacht, I would hope so.

We had a 7eleven by our hotel! THANK GOODNESS!!! We rushed over there at night and in the morning to get our morning fix of Diet Dr. Pepper. And when I say morning, I mean morning Texas time, the entire week I was up at 4. Even at the gym at 4:45AM one morning.
7eleven even had sushi (only in Cali would that ever happen)

The flowers were so beautiful there, I wish I could get my flowers to look like they do there. That would mean spending time outside in the HEAT, no thanks!

Breezy took a nice dive on the streets of San Diego, very gracefully I might add. Poor thing her leg had total road rash, I say it's because she is getting old!

We cruised over to Coronado island for a walk to Hotel Del and lunch at the fabulous Peohys. We had a great time sitting outside and enjoying the view at both places.

We found Coronado Cupcakery and I had to indulge. Afterall Breezy's birthday is on the 2nd and I didn't have time to bake her a cake.

San Diego had the "red hat" convention. Breezy and I swore to never let one another join in that group. Nothing like a bunch of older women wearing the silliest get up you have ever seen.
On Thursday night we met my cousin Dana at the Hyatt rooftop bar, what an amazing view. You could see for mile and miles, and the sun was setting it was perfect. We went and grabbed dinner and had a great time visiting, although Breezy and I were pretty much zombies from walking the entire city the past day and a half. It was great to see Dana, I had not seen her in years and years.
I got home Friday afternoon and could not wait to see my family. I missed them all so much. Lily ran up to me at school and brought tears to my eyes, I just gave her the biggest squeeze ever. Blake was not as excited, but I think deep down she was thrilled to see me.
I love love love San Diego and can't wait to get back and this time take the family with!

p.s. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BREEZY!!!!!
