Blake's Room!

So I am finally ready for Blake. I have the nursery 100% together, even her little closet is cleaned out and full of clothes for her little self. I am very pleased with the way her room turned out. In the beginning I just could not imagine what I was going to do with the brown and orange paint, I just knew I did not want to paint over it. So with the help of some wonderful friends it all came together.
I can not wait to have her sleeping in her crib and even crying in the middle of the night. We are all ready for her. Last night at dinner I pointed to my stomach and asked Lily what that was and she said "lake". So we are all getting ready.
I know Mike is ready too, at least I know for sure he is ready for me to not be pregnant and miserable anymore. I am at that point where I am counting the hours to her entrance, and if you count the hours it seems like years. All is well though, I am just being a baby myself.

We have had so many wonderful people to offer to help with Lily when Blake comes, so that makes me feel a little at ease. At the last appointment we ran late and I was so worried about how Lily was going to get home from school and thinking she was all alone there and upset that her mommy had forgotten her. I was quickly reminded by Leah and Curtis that they are there for Lily if she needs a ride home or if she needs to have a slumber party if Blake were to come early. So that has helped me to relax. I don't know why I feel alone in this city, we have great people around us that love Lily as if she were their own. Mike thinks I am silly, I guess sometimes my anxiety comes in to play, maybe more often then it should. :0

So we have 24 more nights to be a family of 3 and then +1=4!!!!!

Our little Christmas!

The countdown is on!!!!

1 MONTH!!!!!!! 1 MONTH!!!!! 1 MONTH!!!!!

I can not believe that our baby Blake will be here in 1 MONTH or less.. I can not tell you how excited we are.

We had our doctors appointment yesterday and everything is perfect. They can not believe how big Blake already is. They estimate her to be 5lbs 14oz right now. So they know that she will be bigger than Lily was when she was born. And even more excellent news, her mommy has not gained a pound in over a month. I am super excited about that. So I will try to keep my weight in check for another month. :) Amazing how different the 2nd pregnancy is than the first. With Lily we ate out every night and I just slept the entire time. Well with a 2 year old that is not allowed. So things are very different this time. My blood pressure is doing great and everything else looks perfect. So all in all (even waiting for 2.5 hours at the docs office) everything is on schedule and looking perfect. We go back in 2 weeks for another check up.

Christmas is 3 days away... WHAT???? I am looking forward to spending time with my little family and my mom and brother. It has been a while since my brother has been around for the holidays. So that will be fun to just sit back relax and hang out with him and his wife.

If I don't post before, have a very Merry Christmas.

Love, Mc

Our Angel!

I honestly think that Lily believes that the Christmas tree is her own big toy. She is able to turn it on and off on her own, and she loves to take the ornaments on and off as well. I forget that she is taller than she once was, so her little fingers can reach very high.
We have gone almost everynight to look at lights. She loves it. She just keeps saying, "more lights daddy, more lights"
We went to Prestonwood Forrest last night and looked at all of the lights, we might have to go back there and look again, Lily had seen enough and was ready for "home".

My brother and sister-n-law get in on Christmas Eve and I am looking forward to spending a relaxing Christmas at our house with my family. We are going out to eat for Christmas Eve (mom and I will go to church) and then Christmas Day will be cooking dinner at our house. I can't wait for Lily to wake up and Santa has come to visit her. She will be so excited.

I am feeling pretty good, getting to the end of the road over here and I am READY! I went yesterday and registered Blake at the hospital, so we have a little over 5 weeks and our 2nd angel will be with us. We go in on Monday for a big appointment to get all of the measurements and make sure everything is coming along. I am very nervous about it, but I know that everything is perfect.
I have to get back to Blake's room and get everything in order, her closet is a mess with all of mommy's stuff still in it. I am hoping to talk daddy into helping me clean it out. Rock Band drums have to find a new home. :) I also am way behind on Lily's thank-you cards from her birthday. I am not like this at all, I usually have them out the next day, man I am slacking! I told Leah the other day that I have dreams about back when I was organized, those days are GONE!
I will update after our appointment next week, McCalle

Christmas Time!

It is that time of year, and I love it!

Lily and I went with the neighbors to Santa's Wonderland outside of College Station last week. Lily sat on my lap as I drove through the park, there are few pics because of this. She loved it, and kept saying, "Momma lights...Momma lights" She was a trooper, running on zero fuel from a no nap day. She wanted to stay there all night and look at all of the lights. So I have a couple of other lights outings for her. That is what this time of the year is all about, HER!
We had some snow here on Friday and Lily and I were out driving around in it. She had her 2 year checkup that day and so we had to go. She is doing wonderful and Dr. Brack is very pleased with where she is. She is in the 95 percentile for her height and 65 percentile for her weight. A tall and skinny girl. I think maybe at one time I might have been tall and skinny. Those days are LONG gone.
Lily and Daddy sat on the edge of the bed and watched a Muppets Christmas, everytime a commercial came on Lily was very upset that the "Frog" was gone! So of course I had to go out and buy the video for her so she can learn more about the "Frog".
We go to the doctor on Wednesday to check on baby sister and see how she is doing. I can not believe that it will be 6 weeks on Thursday........ Wow where has the time gone??????
