Aunt LouLou came to play!

Leslie came to visit and meet Baby Blake. Lily had so much fun hanging out with her. As soon as we picked Lily up from school and walked into the house she had to show Loulou her new trampoline. So off with with 3inch heels and onto the tramp Lou went. It was nice to see Leslie, I feel like I have not seen her in forever. It is crazy that you go from seeing someone everyday and then you move away and hardly get to see them at all, especially while I am not travelling for work. That will change and I will be in Austin later this spring. She brought the girls lots of gifts and Lily got these awesome pajamas from barefoot dreams, I have already researched where I can get myself some. They are the most amazing feeling pajamas I have ever felt. Lily better watch out, mommy might take them away. She got Blake this lamb that is a sound machine from Cloud B, Blake seems to like the rain sound. At least last night I turned it on and she was out like a light. I was looking at buying one the other night and am so glad I waited, Lou read my mind.
The weather is beautiful here so I think tomorrow we will head to the park.

Baby Blake is already 1 month old!
I am a little late in posting this. I should have posted this on Monday, but I guess I decided to nap instead.
Blakey is already a month old! I can not believe it has already been that long. I registered her for school yesterday and she will begin her days with Salma on the 22nd of March. I can not wait for her to get to hang out with Salma, she will love her like the rest of the Fryar's do. I think Lily will be excited to have her sister right across the hall from her at school. Lily likes to talk to Salma through the windows, so now she will be able to talk to Blake as well.
We are still working on the sleeping, but she really is pretty good at night. Last night she slept in her crib for half the night and it went well. I have to stick to it and let her cry it out for a little bit until she comforts herself to sleep. She took her 2nd nap in her crib today and she seems to sleep well in there. So time for mommy to be strong and make her stay in there. I am enjoying every second at home with her, although I will admit that I am getting sick of sitting at home. I have never been good at that. But, all in all we are having a great time together. She is such a calm baby so it is very easy to get along.
I start back to work tomorrow, I will be working from home for the next 5 weeks. I am truly not ready to go back, but I think I can handle working a few hours from home. I have been missing out on good business while I have been out, so it is time to go back. I am truly lucky that I can work from home and that my office accepts pajama attire.
I just wanted to update on what is going on around here. I am loving every minute with my 2 girls and my wonderful husband. He has really shown me a different side to him, I love Mike more and more everyday. I love that he is such a wonderful husband to me and an even better father to our two precious angels. I could not have married a better match for me. We have our little spats, but there is no doubt in my mind that we were meant to be! So if you read this.. I love you Mike Fryar!

Auntie Jules is coming to town... FOR GOOD!

I could not be more excited that Julie is moving to Houston. She got a job at a salon in The Woodlands and has rented a house in The Heights. I can not even explain how happy I am about this. After 15 years of not being in the same town, we will finally be together again. I welcome her and Justin! She will be here in less than 2 weeks. My girls will grow up knowing their Auntie Jules.

Valentine's Party at school!
Blake and I packed up and headed to Lily's Valentine's party today. We walked into her classroom and Lily ran over to the carseat and was telling all of her classmates to "Hum mere" and she was so excited to show off Bake(as she calls her) I was in total shock. I had no idea that she would be so excited to see her baby sister. This made me smile!
Blake was good during the party, she cried a little but all in all she enjoyed herself. I had to keep the kids away from her, they were all really interested. I just kept handing them plastic babies and told them to scoot along. :)
I love watching Lily with her friends. She loves her classmates and her teachers. There is one teacher that she has really taken to, and the teacher has taken to her as well. Her name is Samantha and Lily talks about her all of the time. Today Mrs. Samantha was showing me all of the pictures that she takes of Lily, so I think the feelings are mutual. They are pals.
We had a lot of fun at the party, and can't wait for Valentine's on Sunday. I now have 3 special Valentines.....
Much Love,
McF

Mommy turns 33!

Justin is not a fan of the flash.

Yesterday was my birthday, and what a great day it was. Although I had little to no sleep the night before, I had a great day. Blake and I went with Amber to eat at Shogun and then get our nails and toes done. Blake opted to sleep instead of getting pampered. She woke up long enough to poop at the nail salon and then back to sleep. She will learn, she will hopefully be my daughter that gets mani and pedis with me.
We went to dinner with LeeLee, CC, Justin and Jules. Dinner was good and the company was great. I love spending time with my nearest and dearest. The girls acted nice too, at the end of dinner Lily went around to everyone in the restaurant telling them that she IS WET! Indeed she was soaking wet, oops!!!! She drinks so much it is hard to keep up with her diaper. I will be taking extra clothes with us from now on. But, it was truly funny hearing her tell her business to total strangers. I had a great birthday and am content with not having anymore.
We have a Valentine's party at Lily's school this Friday, I will post pics from that.
Happy Hump Day!!!
Little Fryar Family!

Not much new going on in Fryar town. We have had company for the past few days, Auntie Jules and Justin have been here for Julie's interviews. I still have my fingers and toes crossed that she gets the job.
Lily has entered into the terrible 2's like you wouldn't believe. We are working on getting her under control, but for now she just tells us NO! The mornings are a nightmare when she is in no mood to go to school. Getting her dressed and her hair done is a job for 2 people. Mike handles her well, he doesn't put up with her NO'S! I think a lot of her acting out has to do with Blake, she will come around and get used to the fact that Baby Blake is not going anywhere but is here to stay.
Blake is doing great. She sleeps a lot during the day, but each day she is up more and more. Last night we had a good night of sleep with her. I am trying to get her to sleep some in her crib and not always in the bouncy chair. So she started out in her crib last night and seemed to really like the mobile's music. How can you not, I turn the mobile on and want to pass out. She is truly a very sweet sweet baby, I just love her more and more everyday. Since I have been home with her everyday we have become little buds.
Things are going great here, I am feeling much better and am able to get up and around and pick Lily up and do more with her. So I feel better about that, I have missed hanging out with her. She is a mess, but I couldn't love her anymore.

Friendships!
I have to post this because tonight I was touched by a friendship that I have with a very dear person. Mike was going out with the guys tonight and I was a little nervous being home alone with the girls. How was I going to handle both girls and get Lily to bed, all with not being able to lift anything heavy. Mike e-mailed me and told me not to plan anything for dinner because he was going to take care of that and make sure that we were all okay before he left.
He was about to head out the door to go and meet the boys, and I was a little confused as to what he was doing for us for dinner. When the garage door opens and in comes Leah with Chick Fil-A, she had come to babysit the Fryar girls while daddy went out and enjoyed some beverages. She played with Lily while I fed Blake, and helped me get Lily to bed. I know Lily enjoyed hanging out with her LeeLee.
I am so thankful for the wonderful friendships that I have. Leah coming into the house brought tears to my eyes. So my first night alone with the girls turned into a girls night in for all of us.
THANK-YOU LEAH!!!! You made my week.

Bye Bye MoMo!

Well MoMo left this morning and I am not happy about this at all. I cried and cried as she pulled away. Lily just kept saying bye bye MoMo! This is going to be the hardest on her. They had so much fun together.
I am so thankful that my mom was able to come and help out for the amount of time that she did. She cooked and cleaned and took care of our little family. We are so greatful for all of her help. Will miss her so much! But, she will be back in March for the bluebonnets so that will be fun. We can take the girls out and get their pics taken with the wildflowers. That is if Blake will stay awake long enough to get her picture taken.

Things are going good here. We have had a couple of good nights with Blake. I am trying my best to make her wake up and take a bottle every 3 hours. She is so hard to wake up. I have done everything, but we will keep on it.
Lily is doing great. She doesn't really care much about the baby, I guess that is good. She does help though, brings her the paci and will put her bottle by her so she can eat. :) She also wants to sit in Blake's bouncy chair and take Blake's socks off of her.
We are getting into a routine over here and that will help once I get both girls on a little schedule. I am not a rigid person but a little routine never hurt anyone. I am so thankful to everyone for helping me to figure out how to get Blake on some sort of a schedule. It seems like an eternity since we have had a infant in the house.

I am loving every minute at home with Blake, she is such a sleeper that I am able to do what I want. Lily was not a sleeper at all, so she was a bit more difficult. I am dreading going back to work so soon, but it is something that has to be done. I am truly lucky to have the job that I have!

Auntie Jules is coming this weekend for an interview in The Woodlands, I have every finger and toe crossed that the interviews go well. I would love to have her close again. We can't wait to see her, I know she is so ready to snuggle with Blake too!!!
I will post more after the weekend.
Much love,

1st Pediatrician visit!

We had our first visit to the pediatrician last Friday. Everything is perfect, we have even gained a pound. I was surprised it wasn't 13 pounds as much formula as she consumes.
We love our pediatrician, I grew up with her and have known her forever. So there is no better trust than that. She is so sweet and lets me call her cell phone if I have questions. that is the best part.

The weekend was good, they are going to be really long for a while. It is hard not being able to just pick up and go, but we will be able to in time. The weather hasn't been so wonderful either, so the cabin fever is bad for everyone.
We were able to take MoMo out for a nice dinner on Saturday night and Salma watched both of the girls. They did art work and played with Salma and her girls. I am not sure what we would do with out her. She is always a huge help to us. It is hard to trust anyone with your babies, and I trust her completely. Probably because she has helped me to raise Lily. She was the one I would go to with all of my silly questions.
Well Mike and I have decided we are going to take this house back. I am going to work on keeping Blake up more in the afternoon so she will sleep better at night. She has really confused the day and night. Mike switched with me and did night duty on Friday night, I don't think he will be switching with me again. He was exhasuted, maybe there is a new found respect for me there, who knows! Blake sleeps very well during the day, who sleeps during bath time????
Lily has really started to come around, she loves me again! I was so upset for a while, that she would never love her mommy again. But, we are buddies again.
We are all hanging in there and doing great. Bags under our eyes will be around for a while, but that is to be expected. :)
