Plagiocephaly

Well the subject of this post says it all. If you don't know what plagiocephaly means, let me educate you....... This means FLAT HEAD! And yes, at our 6 month check up this morning we learned that Baby Blake has plagiocephaly AKA flat head. We have known this for sometime, but kept our fingers crossed that it would correct itself.
Now I type this post with tears streaming down my face. My sweet angel baby goes to a plastic surgeon on the 24th of August to be fitted for a helmet. Yes, that is right a helmet. It breaks my heart to know that she will have to wear one of these and feel the pain of having to sleep in this. I have seen a few babies that have these on and I have always felt so sorry for them and for their mom's. Now my baby will be one them! I know that it could be so much worse, but my heart breaks for Blake. I don't know any details, but researching on the internet is not doing my heart any justice.
Keep Blake in your thoughts and maybe somehow her head will correct itself in the next month- very unlikely but worth a shot.

Early Morning Swim at the Galloway's!

The first 2 pics are of Blake at our neighborhood ghetto pool. Reminder: you can not wear any gang related colors when entering the pool area!

We got up on Sunday and headed to the Galloway's for some early morning swimming. My how things have changed from swimming late at night to early in the morning. We had a great time. We got to hang out and actually chat and enjoy their company. We made tacos for lunch and then took the girls home for naps.

Dax enjoyed resting his eyes while swimming around with CC.
The two macho men and their babies. Don't worry WSP was playing in the background!

Boozer is 6 months old!!!!

Where does the time go???? Baby Blake is 6 months old. What a sweet angel she is. I love her more and more everyday. I can just sit there and hold her forever and she just smiles. So wonderful having such a calm angelic baby!
We started her on bananas, and her first bite she was in love. Poor Mike all of his girls love bananas and he HATES them.

Blake loves playing in the playroom with Lily. She just rolls around and squeals.

Lily has gotten to the point where she is sick and tired of mommy and her camera. She just says "No cheese mommy". Come on baby girl this has been something that has happened everyday of your life.

Daddy and Lily went to the grocery store yesterday morning and they brought me a surprise. Lils was so excited to give these to me. It was precious!

I love my little family more than words can ever express! Thank-you Mike for 3 of the biggest blessings I could have ever asked for. And yes, the 3 includes you. I am one lucky lucky girl.

our sweet angels!

I love that my angels can now take a bath together. Lily wants to brush and wash Blake's hair. It is so cute.

I am hesitant to write this blog, but here goes. Lily woke up on Monday and was a totaly nightmare, I thought I was going to have to drop her on her Auntie Jules' front porch for a while. I just could not take anymore. For some reason I think Lily knew this, she knew I was at my limit.....

On Tuesday Lily woke up a new person and it has been the same for almost a week. I have been treating her to special things for her good behavior (some may call it bribing)!!

On Tuesday afternoon mom and I picked Lily up early from school and took her swimming as a treat for being an angel. She loves swimming and this was perfect.
On Wednesday I took her to marble slab for some "pink" ice cream.
On Thursday we took her around the corner to see a bunch of tractors. She loves to look at them but is scared to death to get close to them.

I love the new Lily, I of course loved the old Lily as well, but what a breath of fresh air to wake up to someone telling you they love you instead of telling you to GO AWAY!
I wont ask why the change, I will just take it in and let my heart smile.

The girls chat in the morning before school. It keeps Blake smiling, as long as Lily is within eyes reach for Boozer. I just love my baby girls!

Blah Blah Blah

so..... MoMo has been in town for a week and we have been having a ball. We have been shopping all around and playing with the girls. So much fun having my mommy here. I could hang out with her everyday for the rest of my life. We have ordered all of the fabric to make Lily's room into a big girl room. How come her room will be so much nicer than mine? I have nothing custom made in my room. When we move to our next house in a few years that will change, for now it is all about my girls.
I get my stitches out tomorrow and I can not wait for that. I have the worst case of the itchies ever. So that will be nice.
I am now down, 30POUNDS!!! Yep, that is right... But, I am coming to terms with what my body will look like when I lose the last 20. It will never be the body I had BLAB(before Lils and Blake) maybe I should make that BLOB(before Lils or Blake) BLOB sounds better. :) But, I am working out everyday and doing my thing. I leave for San Diego in less than 2 weeks!!!!! There will be no bikini wearing there, but I will be better than before. Can't wait to see my cousin Dana and spend some quality time with my Breezy! Oh and also work, I can for sure wait for that!

Peace,
McF

Skin cancer free!

First off I have had this blog for less than a year and already have posted more than what I posted on the last blog- how is that possible. How annoying am I? Sorry if I bore you to bits, just enjoy keeping friends and family in the loop!

I got a call yesterday from the derm and they said that my biopsy came back negative for anymore skin cancer. This was welcomed news to my ears. So now I can go on about my life for the next 5 months until I get another check up. Well I guess I can go on another week until I get these awful stitches out of my back- UGH THEY ITCH!!!!! Mikey has been an incredible nurse. He and Lily fix my boo boo every night. If I make any sounds that it might be painful Lily starts to cry. So I have to keep a smile on my face and pretend there is no pain. I think Mike secretly likes to cause me pain, it is his paybacks! :)

My weight loss journey continues. I did not weigh this week for fear that I had too much salt over the holiday weekend. I ate pretty good but did splurge with Jules and Justin at Lupe Tortilla. It's okay to splurge here and there. But, back to the gym I went yesterday after work. I am determined to get into some shorts that Miranda sent me today. So I am hoping that by San Diego time I will be there.

Enjoy your week!

Lunch with Auntie Jules' and bye bye to Salma!

On Monday we got up and went and met Jules and Justin for some great mexican food. We haven't seen much of them lately, Jules has been so busy with work, she seems to really be liking it.

Mike got the green light to go and play golf so the girls and I headed over to Salma's to say bye to her. She is off to India today to see her mother for a month. I am so sad to see her go. I will miss her the most, she is truly a very good friend to me and she is an angel to my girls. I asked her if the girls could go to India too and she told me to go home and pack their bags!
