Well we had our first trip to Urgent Care last night.
Wednesday night Lily and I were waiting in the front yard for daddy to get home from work and there on Lily's cheek was a huge mosquito. I got it away, but not before the damage was done.
We went to bed Wednesday night and I had noticed the bug had gotten her pretty good on her left cheek. I did not think much of it, just another day in lovely Houston with the mosquito gangs.
When Mike brought her in the room Thursday morning I noticed that her eye was swollen and the bite mark was much larger so I thought it woud go down.
I got a call from day care and they were very concerned with this (not unusual they are always VERY concerned about something). So I picked her up and took her next door to Jill's (the pharmacist) and she was VERY concerned as well. So now everyone has me very concerned too. Jill was afraid that since it was so heated and swollen that it could be turning into staph (DEAR GOODNESS). Not to mention that her eye was even more swollen then the morning.
In the car and off to Urgent Care we went. It is not staph thank goodness, but it is a darn infected mosquito bite. So we have meds and all and have to watch over it for the next few days to make sure it is getting better and not worse. So everyone is all good, now I don't wanna let her outside to get another gang member attacking her. :)
It is a little scary going to Urgent Care, very interesting people that go there. But, it was an experience that hopefully we do not have to experience again.
Have a great weekend,
Mc
