Weekend of sick babies!

Well on Thursday I get a call from day care that Blake is running a fever so I head to pick her up and get her some motrin and settled in at home. Friday afternoon Blake and I are minding our own business and we get a call from day care Lily has a 103 temp, so I wait for Mike to get home so I can go and get Lils. There she is laying on the floor in the fetal position and crying. She has thrown up and is burning up, so freaked out I call the doc and get an appointment at 4:30. I come home take Lils temp and it is 104.9 and so off we go to the doc. Blake had a double ear infection and Lily had a severe case of strep throat and ear infections to boot. I will just make this short and sweet and tell you that Friday night was the worst night in history at this house. Mike had long standing plans to head to a concert and so I stayed and took care of the babies. Never in my life have I wished my mother lived closer than I did on Friday night!

First trip to the park!

I decided on Sunday that it was time for Baby Blake to head to the park and try out the swing. We got the girls in the wagon and headed down the street. Blake thought the entire outing was perfect. She smiled and smiled (she seems to mostly smile anyways). Watching her and her sister in the swings was such a great feeling, I just hope they are best friends growing up. I always wanted a sister!

I saw a side of Lily that was upsetting to me. These 2 little girls came to the park and Lily was very mean to them. She kept telling them it was her swing and her wagon and blah blah blah. When Lily's friend Kathryn got to the park, Lily became even nastier to the 2 little girls. She would not let them play what they were playing. It was very sad for me to see her acting this way, I am going to work on this right away. I do not want Lily to grow up and be the girl that I was or that I came home and cried about. I want her to be friends with everyone and not just with a few certain girls. I never thought that this would start at this age, so it has to stop at this age as well!

Baylee's 3rd Birthday!

We loaded up the truck and headed to Baylee's house on Saturday for her big farm party. What a great time we all had. Lily always loves to go and bounce her life away. Nevermind there are other things to do, she just wants to bounce. Mike did talk her into sitting on the tractor (her favorite thing)but he had to promise her that it would not start on its own. She "drove" it around for a while and then headed back to get her bounce on. It seems Amber and I have pretty much the same thoughts in our minds, I have also purchased many of the same decorations for Lily's 3rd Annual Lilyfair! I wish that Amber's family lived closer so that Lily and Baylee would know one another more. But, I made her promise that we will get them together more often so they do know each other. Hard to believe that our girls are exactly 2 months apart and that in 2 months my baby will be 3!!!!!!!!!

It is hard to believe that I still remember exactly where I was when Amber called me to tell me she was pregnant, and I believe I knew before the daddy knew. I was in shock and so happy for her. I remember the night that Baylee was born and holding her in my arms the next morning. She was beautiful BIG baby girl and I was so happy for them. Happy Birthday today Baylee Jay, you are truly a precious angel.

Lily and Kevin have become the best of friends. They love to play together and swim together, and the get along so well. We had the Wright's over for dinner last night and the kids had a blast. Every weekend Lily begs to see Kevin. Blake wanted to hang out too, Kevin played with her and loved on her. That is something that her big sister does not do much of. So it was nice to see that Lily's friends will treat Blake nice.
Potty training is going great. Lily is loving being a big girl. We even went poopoo in the potty this weekend. She got a big surprise and was so proud of herself. We will continue working on this everyday and soon she will be 100%. I am so proud of my big girl!!
