Christmas in Amarillo!

The girls and I flew to Amarillo on the 20th to spend some extra days with MoMo. Poor Blake didn't do so great on the plane ride, it was of course during her morning nap. Strike one for momma! We had a great time once we landed. We went to lunch and came home and all took naps.

The next day MoMo came by the house with Diego in his trailer and we all loaded up in the big truck and headed to the ranch to take him back to his friends (as Lily kept saying).

Lily and Mo (the burrow) are little buddies and he is always trying to take the carrots away from her.  She has to keep him in line.
We moved Blake into her big girl carseat so she could see what all was going on, she loves being able to see everything.

On our way home we found Rudolph.  Lily kept asking where his red nose was and why Santa was not with him.  I had to explain that it is a VERY busy time of year for Santa and he had to let Rudopl play while he was busy with all of the toys.

Mike drove in on Wednesday night- poor guy what a long drive. When we woke up Thursday morning Auntie Jules and Justin brought Donut Stop over.  You are thankful that I do not have any pictures of how beautiful we all looked.
We took Mike out to see the horsies as well.  Lily had to introduce him to all of her friends.  Mo (the burrow) got a little excited and somehow "bit" Lily's coat- well that was her story and she was sticking to it and ready to get out of there.

I love this picture of Mike, he is being attacked by these huge animals and is still smiling about it.

Auntie Breezy came over for a quick visit and brought the girls some presents.  We sure love her and were so sad that we didn't get to spend more time with her- it is so busy this time of year.  :(
We left Santa some cookies and milk.
And you wouldn't believe all of the wonderful things that Santa left us.  I kept trying to take things away and hide them so I could pack up the car, and not have to get all of the little tiny things all over the place.  Lily was not having it, she wanted into it all.  She had such a great time, and MoMo of course went above and beyond with all the surprises that Lily got.

Blake got a few fun things herself, but her favorite is whatever Lily doesn't want her playing with.

Do you see what I see?
At 4am on Sunday morning we were up and ready to go.  It was a long drive, but the girls did great.  It was their mommy that was the cranky one.  Sorry Mike!!!!

We are all home and had a FABULOUS Christmas in Amarillo.  We are truly lucky to have such wonderful family and friends.  I couldn't ask for a better holiday!

Christmas with the other Fryar Clan!

We had the Fryar's over for Christmas this past Sunday. Everyone was there, but Pops and Dudley- we sure miss them. I made tortilla soup and carnitas, I think it was a big hit. It was great watching Lily and Sarah run around and have a blast together. Blake opened her first Christmas present of her life, she loved the paper and the bag that it came in. I love watching Lily get so excited over little things, she got a Strawberry Shortcake doll house and thinks it is the greatest thing ever. She also had to "help" baby Blake open her gifts as well.

So looking forward to what Santa brings this year!

Teddy Bear and Tea!

Amber called and told me about The Teddy Bear and Tea at the St. Regis. You bring a Teddy Bear to give to a child that is less fortunate and you sip tea with your friends. They had little people food for the girls, face painting, a puppet show and color your own Teddy Bear t-shirt. Lily had a great time, she wanted to run around all day and check out everything. I can't wait for daddy to see the bill from this one, at least Lily had a blast! Thanks DADDY!
